DIRECTOR'S BIO
Toni Kellar, founder and director of Roots To
Rhythm™,
is a professional facilitator and teaching artist, providing
rhythm-based development programs to conferences, workplaces,
community groups, wellness agencies, schools, and
private events.
She specializes in interactive rhythm events that integrate the mind, body and
spirit using rhythmic metaphors that enable a group to
achieve success through the improvisational music making
process.
Toni has completed
drum circle facilitation training with HealthRhythms™,
Drum Circle Music™,
Unity With
A Beat, Rhythm Journey, and KDK
Learning Circles.
She is a Drum Circle Music™
Practitioner, Trained HealthRhythms™ Facilitator,
Artsbridge Arts Education Program presenter, member of the Percussive Arts Society and the international Drum Circle Facilitators
Guild, and has presented at the Percussive Arts Society
International Convention.
Toni is a Remo Endorsed Drum Circle
Facilitator, and uses primarily Remo products in her
programs.
Toni has been a percussionist and
performer since her youth. She has studied frame drumming with
renowned percussionists Layne Redmond, Randy Crafton, and Glen
Velez, and has shared the stage with many artists including
Glen Velez, Bob Bloom, Babatunde Olatunji, Alvin Carter,
Layne Redmond, Jonathan Edwards, Bonnie Devlin, Christina
Boiano, Groove Project, the Southeast Ohio Symphony Orchestra, and the Columbus Symphony Orchestra.
She is a graduate of Ohio University’s College of
Communication, School of Journalism.
Toni brings a wide range of life
experiences into developing Roots To Rhythm™ programs,
creating individualized programs for each client with the
goal of assisting groups in achieving "Outcome From
Within!™"
